✅ “Fall Seven Times. Rise Eight.”

🎁Real strength isn’t never falling—it’s rising every time you do.

💌 Kick Your Life™: Wisdom from Korea – Week 7

“Fall seven times, rise eight.”

💬 A Note from Master Chris Hong

Hello Parents & Teachers,

Some weeks feel like a smooth run.
Others feel like a tumble.

But the truth is… even the strongest people fall.
They just don’t stay down.

This week’s Korean proverb reminds us:

👉 “Fall seven times, rise eight.”

It’s not about being flawless.
It’s about building the habit of rising again.

Especially when life doesn’t go your way.

A Life Story

There was once a young woman named Hana who dreamed of becoming a nurse.
She wasn’t the top student. She failed her entrance exam—twice.
She thought of giving up, thinking:
“Maybe I’m just not cut out for this.”

But each time, she told herself:
“Try again. Just one more time.”

On her third try, she passed.
Then came the tough part—nursing school.
Late-night studying. Doubts. Tears in the bathroom after a mistake during training.
But the next morning, she showed up. Again.

Three years later, she stood tall in her white uniform—graduating with honors.

Not because she never stumbled—
But because she always stood back up.

📖 This Week’s Korean Wisdom

“Fall seven times, rise eight.”

Resilience isn’t about toughness.
It’s about choosing to return—again and again.
That’s how we build strength, confidence, and courage.

🧠"Fall seven times, rise eight."
We’re not just kicking—we’re rebuilding lives.
Teens and adults are growing stronger, one class at a time.

🛠️ Try This with Your Family or Classroom

Talk about a time when each person:

  • Felt like giving up

  • Failed or struggled

  • Got back up again

Then ask:
➡️ What helped you rise?
➡️ Who encouraged you?
➡️ How did it feel to keep going?

This week, create a “Bounce-Back Wall” together:
Write or draw one thing you’ll keep trying—even if it’s hard.

Stick it up as a reminder: “Fall seven times, rise eight.”

Your Weekly Kick Plan

This week, practice resilience in a small way:

  • Try again on something you’ve avoided

  • Take a break, then return

  • Cheer for someone else who’s struggling

  • Say aloud: “I can rise again.”

Even a tiny comeback matters. 💪

🌿 Remember

Falling is part of learning.
Getting back up? That’s where growth happens.

Let this week’s wisdom remind you:
You don’t have to be perfect—just willing to rise.
