šŸ’Ŗ Kick Off Strong: Try the Power Pose Challenge This Week

Can 2 minutes change how your child sees themselves? Yes—if they stand like a champion.

Hello Parents & friends,

Welcome to your first Family Kick lesson from me—Master Hong.
This is your weekly moment to pause, grow, and help your kids build strength from the inside out.

🧾 How to Use This

For Parents:
Read this short story during breakfast or before bed. Talk about the reflection questions, then try the challenge as a family each morning this week.

For Teachers:
Use this story during morning meeting or transition time. Have students strike their Power Pose together and reflect on how body posture affects focus and confidence.

šŸ‘Š Wisdom from Master Hong: Stand like a champion—before you even win.

Emma was 8 years old and very shy.

At her first Tae Kwon Do class, she stood with her arms crossed and eyes down. I gently showed her how to stand tall—feet apart, hands on hips, chin up.

We call it the Power Pose.

She giggled at first. But something shifted.

After just 2 minutes of standing tall, she smiled bigger. Spoke louder. And broke her first board.

That day, she didn’t just break a board—she broke through fear.

šŸ’ Reflection from Master Hong

ā€œConfidence doesn't start in your mind.
It starts in your body.ā€

Ask your child or class:

  • ā€œWhat does confidence look like on the outside?ā€

  • ā€œHow do you feel when you stand tall vs. when you slump?ā€

Let them discover the shift.

šŸ  Family Kick Mission: The Power Pose Challenge

Every morning this week, strike your Power Pose together for 60 seconds.

Stand tall. Hands on hips. Smile. Head high.

Before school. Before breakfast. Before anything.

Because when you learn to stand strong—you start to feel strong.

šŸ˜‚ Family Kick Laugh Break: Parent Joke of the Week

Q: Why don’t parents play hide and seek?
A: Because someone’s always yelling ā€œMOM!ā€ every 15 seconds anyway!

šŸ“¬ Enjoyed this laugh? Forward it to a fellow parents who totally gets it.
