šŸŽ§ Parents love nap-time jazz... but this week's Gratitude Walk might be even better

Let’s laugh first, then grow together. This week’s mission helps your family slow down and notice the good.

Hello parents & friends,

Before we talk about raising strong kids or building good habits…

Let’s start with something simple:

Let’s smile. 😊

Because when we smile, we teach better, we listen better—and we enjoy each other more.

šŸ˜‚ Parent Joke of the Week

Q: What’s a parent’s favorite type of music?
A: NAP-time jazz.
It’s silent... and soothing. 😓

If that made you laugh—even a little—then you’re already winning today.

Let’s take that good energy and turn it into this week’s family mission.

šŸ‘£ Week 3 Mission: The Gratitude Walk Challenge

This week, I want to share a story about a boy who once told me,

ā€œMaster Hong, I don’t like my life. Nothing exciting ever happens.ā€

He was serious. So I didn’t lecture him—I invited him for a walk.

We didn’t go anywhere special. Just around the school.

ā€œLet’s try something. Just name things around you that you’re thankful for.ā€

He looked confused, but started slowly:

ā€œMy backpack... my shoes... water fountainā€¦ā€

Then a pause. Then more:

ā€œMy friends... my mom picking me up... the sunny skyā€¦ā€

And by the time we got back, he smiled.

ā€œMy day didn’t change… but I feel better.ā€

That’s when I realized something powerful:

Gratitude doesn’t change your location—it changes your focus.

You don’t need a vacation or a big reward to feel joy.
You just need a reason to look around.

🧾 How to Use This Week’s Mission

For Parents:
Take a Gratitude Walk with your kids.
Let each person name at least 5 things they’re thankful for.
It can be outside, on the way to school, or even walking around the house.

For Teachers:
Lead your students on a quick Gratitude Walk.
Ask: ā€œWhat’s something you notice today that you’re thankful for?ā€

šŸ’ Reflection from Master Hong

ā€œGratitude is a muscle. The more we use it, the more it lifts us.ā€

Ask your kids:
• What’s one small thing that made today better?
• What’s something you’ve never said ā€œthank youā€ for before?

šŸ”œ Coming Next Week...

How one family’s 5-second bedtime cheer became a nightly tradition of confidence and joy.

Until then, keep kicking forward — and don’t forget to smile along the way.
