💬 A Note from Master Chris Hong
Parents and Teachers,
Have you ever felt like the small things you do each day don’t really matter?
Washing dishes…
Reminding your child to say “thank you”…
Walking for 10 minutes…
Saving $1…
It’s easy to overlook these moments—because they feel so small.
But this week’s Korean proverb reminds us:
“Dust gathers to make a mountain.”
Even something as small as dust, when repeated and collected, becomes something strong—something solid.
That’s the power of consistency over intensity.
✨ A Real-Life Story
I once knew a student who struggled in class—not because he lacked ability, but because he often gave up too early.
He’d get frustrated and say, “This is too hard,” then walk away.
So we made a small agreement:
“Try for just five more minutes.”
At first, it didn’t feel like much.
But over time, his confidence grew.
By the end of the semester, he didn’t need reminders. He just kept going.
It wasn’t a major change—it was a dust-sized habit.
But it turned into something strong.
📖 This Week’s Korean Wisdom

“티끌 모아 태산”
“Dust gathers to make a mountain.”
Whether we’re building good habits, strong relationships, or lasting character—
It all starts with the smallest things, done consistently.
🛠️ Try This with Your Family or Classroom
Talk about “dust-sized actions” this week:
What’s one small habit that could make a big difference over time?
What’s one simple act of kindness or discipline we can repeat daily?
Try This:
Create a “Mountain Jar”—a clear jar where kids or students can drop a pebble, coin, or sticker each time they do something small but meaningful.
Let them see their habits grow into something real.
Celebrate the effort—not the size.
✅ Your Weekly Kick Plan
Choose one small habit and stick to it for 7 days:
A 2-minute cleanup
A 10-minute walk
Saying “thank you” before bed
A quick note of encouragement
A single deep breath when you feel overwhelmed
Track it. Celebrate it.
Let the dust become a mountain.
🌿 Remember
Great lives aren’t built in giant leaps.
They’re built in tiny, quiet, persistent steps.
Dust matters. So does today.
💡 Don’t forget…
Every Monday, you’ll also receive your Family Kick Series—
