✅ The First Step to Goal Setting (and Why It Matters)

🎁This week, we’re not chasing big dreams—we’re learning the power of direction.

The Bike Ride That Changed Everything

A little boy once wanted to ride his bike without training wheels.

He didn’t know how to balance, didn’t know how to turn—and honestly, he fell… a lot.

But his parents told him, “Your goal is not to be perfect today. Your goal is to ride just 10 seconds longer than yesterday.”

Every day, he set a tiny goal: 10 seconds more. By the end of summer, he was zooming through the park—no training wheels, no fear.

He learned something powerful: goals don’t just get us somewhere—they change who we become along the way.

🏠 This Week’s Family Mission:

Each family member sets ONE small goal for this week.

Examples:

  • A child: “I’ll read one chapter of my book each night.”

  • A parent: “I’ll put my phone away during dinner.”

  • A teacher: “I’ll greet every student with a smile this week.”

Keep it simple. The goal is not to be big—it’s to be clear.

💬 Reflection Question:

“What’s one thing you’d love to accomplish this month?”

Write it down. Share it out loud. Let your family cheer you on.

🤣 Parent Joke of the Week:

Q: Why was the math book so excited for school?
A: Because it had too many functions!

🥋 From Master Chris Hong:

When we set goals, we give ourselves a map. Without them, we wander. With them, we grow.

This week, don’t worry about climbing a mountain. Just pick one small hill and start walking.

Step by step, habit by habit—you’ll not only reach your goals, you’ll build the strength and confidence that lasts a lifetime.

You’re not just teaching your children how to set goals. You’re showing them who they can become.

🌟 P.S.

If this message encouraged you, forward it to another parent or teacher. One small goal can start a big change.

With heart,
