✅The Sentence That Changed Everything
🎁 A quiet child found her voice—and something even bigger: pride.
Hello parents & teachers,
Some kids are natural speakers.
They raise their hands. They speak their minds. They share their ideas freely.
Others hold back—not because they have nothing to say,
but because they aren’t quite sure if their voice matters yet.
This week’s mission is for them.
😂 Parent Joke of the Week
Q: Why did the parent bring a pencil to dinner?
A: In case someone asked for a drawing of patience. ✏️
You’ve probably earned a whole sketchbook by now. 😅

🗣 Week 6 Mission: The Brave Word Challenge
Let me tell you about a quiet girl named Emily.
Emily is 9. Bright. Gentle. Deep thinker.
But in group settings -the classroom, family dinners, even birthday parties—she was the quietest one in the room.
At home, her mom, Sarah, had gotten used to one-word whispers:
“Yes.” “No.” “I’m fine.”
But one night, Sarah knelt beside her and said:
“This week, your mission is to say one brave thing. Just one.”
Emily looked confused.
“Like what?”
“It could be a compliment. A question. An idea you’ve been holding in.
Anything kind or true takes a little courage to say aloud.”
Emily didn’t answer right away.
But something shifted.
That week, she started speaking up—just a little.
Not loudly. Not dramatically.
But clearly. Sincerely. Bravely.
She asked to go first on a school project.
She told her friend, “You’re fun to play with.”
She thanked her dad for helping with her homework.
And by the weekend, after brushing her teeth,
She looked in the mirror and said softly,
“I’m proud of myself this week.”
Sarah overheard. She smiled—but didn’t interrupt.
No reward. No big applause.
Just quiet pride blooming where confidence had once been hidden.

🧾 How to Use This Week’s Mission
For Parents:
Please encourage your child to speak one brave sentence this week, something they usually keep to themselves.
A compliment. A thank-you. A question. A kind truth.
No pressure. Just encouragement. Then listen—and smile.
For Teachers:
Invite your class to share a “brave word” this week—an idea, a thought, a feeling.
Celebrate the courage it takes to speak, especially for your quietest students.
💭 Reflection from Master Hong
“When a child speaks up, their confidence grows louder too.”
Ask your child or student:
• “What’s something you’ve been wanting to say?”
• “How do you feel when someone really listens to you?”
🧠 One brave sentence can unlock a child’s voice.
If you’re local, we’d love to invite your family to 2 free weeks of Tae Kwon Do at our South Jordan school.
It’s one way we help children grow courage—from the inside out.

🔜 Coming Next Week...
Can one compliment create a chain reaction?
In Week 7, you’ll see how a single kind word can ripple through your home or classroom—and make everyone walk a little taller.
Until then, keep kicking forward—and keep your heart tuned to brave little voices.
They often say the biggest things.

This Week’s Story:
A homeschool family in Lehi turned the “Shoe Shelf Challenge” into a mini competition.
“Each shoe earns a point if it makes it home. At 10 points, they get a silly victory dance. Guess what? No more hallway hazards!”
