✅We're back! The Clean-Up Trick Your Kids Might Actually Love
🎁We’re back! A playful clean-up mission that brings speed, smiles—and a little more family fun.
👋 We're Back in Your Inbox!
Thanks for your patience—we paused last week's Family Kick email as we were testing and improving our delivery system to make sure these messages reach you better and more reliably. The good news: we’re back to normal now and excited to keep growing with you every Monday!
👟 Week 13: The 10-Minute Toy Dash
📖 A Short Story to Kick Things Off
It started with a simple timer.
One evening, a mom in Sandy had finally had enough of the never-ending toy mess scattered across the living room. Instead of nagging, she grabbed her phone and said,
“Alexa, set a 10-minute timer!”
She yelled, “Toy Dash! Everyone go!” and the kids stared at her like she had gone a little wild—then suddenly burst into action. Shoes squeaked. Lego bins rattled. Stuffed animals flew through the air. When the timer went off, the floor was clear.
The next night, they asked her to start the Toy Dash again. It became a nightly routine—music blasting, timer counting down, and laughter echoing through the house.
Cleaning up became a game.
And family time snuck in through the back door.
🏠 This Week’s Mission:
"The 10-Minute Toy Dash" Challenge
For Parents & Families:
Tonight, pick one area—just one. Set a 10-minute timer. Then blast your child’s favorite music and yell, “Toy Dash—go!” Watch what happens. You might be amazed by the teamwork (and speed). Bonus points if you take a silly family selfie when you're done!
For Teachers & Classrooms:
Try a “10-Minute Desk Dash” before lunch or at the end of the day. Turn on fun music, set the timer, and let kids clean and reset their spaces like a team. It’s fast, fun, and builds pride in a clean room.
💬 Reflection of the Week
We often think we need more time to get things done.
But what if we just needed a better mood?
A playful attitude can turn a frustrating moment into a memorable one.
What other parts of life could you turn into a game this week?
🌟 From Master Chris Hong:
I once had a student who always dragged his feet when it was time to clean the dojang(Tae Kwon Do School). One day, we made it into a race—who could fold the mats the fastest? Not only did he win, he asked to do it again the next day. We don’t have to force respect. We can inspire it—through fun, challenge, and spirit.
You’re doing a great job, parents and teachers.
Thank you for showing up with heart—even in the mess.
